Downtown Power Hour - Law Enforcement at the Workplace: Best Practices for Building Owners and Managers
Friday, January 31, 2025 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (PST)
Description
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
This training will cover how building and property owners can ensure protection of their legal rights when immigration enforcement seeks to engage in enforcement actions at their facilities. Immigration enforcement actions can be disruptive and cause panic among tenants, building and maintenance employees, and the surrounding community. As immigration enforcement increases, this training will cover topics that prepare building and property owners with the knowledge of legal rights and equip them with tools to protect those rights so they may minimize some of the negative impacts of those enforcement actions.
Speakers:
Monica Guizar, Associate General Counsel, Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
Tiffany L. Crain, Weinberg Roger & Rosenfeld
Matthew Hargrove, President and Chief Executive Officer, California Business Properties Association
